In the year that we played our first ever USA shows headlining Melodic Rock Fest in Chicago and also explored our inner Heavy Metal touring across Europe with Saxon, Raven and Wayward Sons, we thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support.
We've had an amazing year playing shows with some great pals including Dare, Toby Jepson and Hand Of Dimes, and festivals too... Frontiers Rock Fest in Milan where our set was recorded for our new live DVD - THE ITALIAN JOB - out in February, the two Melodic Rock Fests in Chicago and Malmo and Leicester Rocks with King King. It's always fantastic to see so many familiar faces in the crowd. With our touring schedule for 2019 building up nicely we can't wait to see you all again next year!
To all our fans old and new, a massive thank you for being part of FM's Atomic Generation in 2018. We look forward to blowing the doors off in 2019!
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

Hot on the heels of the release of their 10th studio album ATOMIC GENERATION, UK’s melodic rock finest FM started their tour cycle with a stunning appearance in front of the Frontiers Rock Festival crowd in Milan, Italy. FM offered up a set which included fan favourites and classic songs from their first two albums, "Indiscreet" and "Tough It Out", alongside cuts from recent releases "Heroes & Villains" and the aforementioned "Atomic Generation", along with some surprises, such as the 1987 single "Let Love Be The Leader," thrown in the mix.
THE ITALIAN JOB documents this show. An absolute gem of an album, it is unmissable not only for FM followers, but all fans of the melodic rock genre.
Bassist and founder member Merv Goldsworthy says: "Knowing we were recording and
filming the show there was a lot more pressure this time. But that aside we knew
the Italian fans and the fans travelling from around the world would not let us down.
We need not have worried as you will see from the footage, it was a marvellous evening.
We were blown away by the audience reaction. This is the only live album that features
some of the newer material from Metropolis, Rockville, Heroes And Villains and Atomic
Generation. It's a good representation of where the band is today."

We are delighted to be confirmed as Special Guests on the Saxon
Thunderbolt Part 3 Tour starting 19 September and we wish Dave Meniketti
all the best for a swift recovery.

We look forward to seeing you in Belgium, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands and the UK!
It is with great regret that we announce the San Francisco rockers Y&T will not be joining us on the Saxon Thunderbolt European Tour this Autumn as previously announced.
Y&T guitarist Dave Meniketti has a serious back injury that has meant he cannot travel to Europe for the shows.
Dave Meniketti states:
“It is with great disappointment that I announce Y&T's decision to withdraw from Saxon's upcoming fall Europe/UK tour”
As many of you already know, I severely injured my back in July and have been under the care of a sports doctor/back specialist ever since. After I received two rounds of cortisone injections to reduce the inflammation, we all had high hopes I'd get "back on the field" in time for this tour. But as many people know, recovering from this kind of back injury takes time.
Given the advice of my doctor and the urging of everyone around me, really, the only course of action for my long-term health is to stay home and properly complete my recovery. This decision has weighed heavily on me--and believe me, I'd much rather be on tour playing for all of you--but getting on an 11-hour flight and sitting for five weeks on drives of up to 10+ hours every day in a van traveling 11,000 miles/18,000 km would be a reckless approach at this stage of my recovery. I can't risk another setback like I experienced last month when I played a show against my doctor's advice.
I apologize to the fans and to our buddies in Saxon for any inconveniences and disappointments that this has caused. We're big fans of Saxon and consider them to be one of the best live straight-ahead rock bands out there, so we're all disappointed to miss what surely would've been a great time on tour with them.
For my part, and for Y&T going forward, I'm on the mend and can't wait to get back up on stage later this year. To our amazing fans in Europe and the UK, again, my apologies. We'll be back in 2019”
Saxon have added UK rock band FM to the bill as Y&T’s replacement for all the shows.
Biff Byford “We were gutted to hear of Dave’s injury and we wish him all the best in a full recovery very soon. We are pleased to announce FM are joining us now on all the dates. We are old friends and it’s going to be fun touring with them”
NWOBHM Stalwarts Raven open the bill on all European shows and up and coming UK stars Wayward Sons open the UK shows.
