Hot on the heels of the release of their 10th studio album ATOMIC GENERATION, UK’s melodic rock finest FM started their tour cycle with a stunning appearance in front of the Frontiers Rock Festival crowd in Milan, Italy. FM offered up a set which included fan favourites and classic songs from their first two albums, "Indiscreet" and "Tough It Out", alongside cuts from recent releases "Heroes & Villains" and the aforementioned "Atomic Generation", along with some surprises, such as the 1987 single "Let Love Be The Leader," thrown in the mix.

THE ITALIAN JOB documents this show. An absolute gem of an album, it is unmissable not only for FM followers, but all fans of the melodic rock genre.

Bassist and founder member Merv Goldsworthy says: "Knowing we were recording and filming the show there was a lot more pressure this time. But that aside we knew the Italian fans and the fans travelling from around the world would not let us down. We need not have worried as you will see from the footage, it was a marvellous evening. We were blown away by the audience reaction. This is the only live album that features some of the newer material from Metropolis, Rockville, Heroes And Villains and Atomic Generation. It's a good representation of where the band is today."

HEROES AND VILLAINS is the first FM album release since signing to Frontiers Music Srl and is due out 17 April in Europe, 20 April in the UK and 21 April in North America.

Looking forward to the release of HEROES AND VILLAINS, Steve Overland says “I think we have managed to capture the best elements of what the band are about in 2015. We had great fun making the record and we are all very proud of the finished result. There are big rock anthems in tracks like Diggin' Up The Dirt and Fire and Rain, and many melodic songs with FM’s trademark hooks and vocal harmonies. There are also not one, but two ballads. One of these (Walking With Angels) is a stripped-down acoustic song, which is something a little different for us.”

Pete Jupp added, “After our shows in November the band was white hot and the creative juices were in full flow, so the writing and recording process for HEROES AND VILLAINS was a prolific and painless affair. We're looking forward to getting back out on tour, straining at the leash.”

Merv Goldsworthy agrees: “All the songs all came together really quickly and the recording of the album went without a hitch. Once we started getting the mixes back of the first few songs we knew we were onto something. HEROES AND VILLAINS is a little rockier and a little more up tempo than ROCKVILLE, and that suits me fine! I'm really looking forward to touring this album this year - bring it on!”

“We're on a roll! Some of the tracks on this album are better than anything that the band has ever produced, and Steve’s voice is as good as ever" says Jim Kirkpatrick.

Jem Davis has given the album a retro sheen by incorporating a Moog, Mellotron and a healthy dose of Hammond organ and he is equally excited: “The band is on fire and the new album sounds HUGE! I think this is going to be an amazing year for FM!”

INDISCREET 25 LIVE - New DVD set for release 1st April 2013

In March 2012 we all briefly went back in time to 1986, many of you joined us in celebrating the 25th anniversary of our first album INDISCREET at sell-out shows which were unashamed nostalgia-fests.

It gives us great pleasure to now bring you our new DVD:

Filmed live in concert at Manchester Academy 2 and London O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on 9th and 10 March 2012, this DVD also includes a documentary section in which we reflect on INDISCREET's place in FM history.

ROCKVILLE 2 to get standalone release

We are very pleased to announce that due to the amount of interested generated in ROCKVILLE II, this album will now get a standalone release via Riff City Records on 25th March 2013.

Up till now only available as part of a two-CD ROCKVILLE package via our PledgeMusic page, ROCKVILLE II features ten new recordings, nine of which are brand new songs.  We have also included a new recording of the song "High" which was originally recorded by Steve and Pete as So! for their BRASS MONKEY album.  We love this song and wanted to give it the FM treatment!

ROCKVILLE and ROCKVILLE II will both be available from the merchandise stand at our March shows and from release date via the FM webshop and all good record stores and internet retailers.

"LIVE IN EUROPE" DVD set for release in March

We're pleased to present our new DVD - LIVE IN EUROPE.  Featuring our exploits during the summer of 2011 when we played at major festivals such as Download and Graspop Metal Meeting, the DVD includes footage from our sets at Rock The Nation, our shows with Journey and Foreigner in Ireland and our triumphant return to Portugal.  With a running time of 107 minutes the DVD also features a bonus section of our January 2011 performance as Special Guests of Thin Lizzy at London's Hammersmith Apollo.

Those of you attending our INDISCREET 25 LIVE shows in Glasgow March 8th, Manchester March 9th and London March 10th will be able to get your hands on advance signed copies from the merchandising stand at the shows.  Don't worry if you are not able to come to any of the shows - advance signed copies of LIVE IN EUROPE will also be available from our webshop from March 12th for £7.99 with free UK P&P.

Rock For Japan benefit CD now available to pre-order

On 11 March 2011 we all saw the scenes of devastation and suffering in Japan after the biggest natural disaster ever to hit those shores. Nobody could fail to be moved and be filled with a desire to help in some way.

AOR Heaven, our European record label, hit on the idea of compiling a benefit CD, all profits from which will be donated to the Red Cross for their work in Japan. Within 24 hours of writing to the artists on their roster over 20 bands and artists had offered to contribute material to the CD – previously unreleased tracks, new mixes of songs, all in all a pretty rare bunch of tracks – enough to fill 2 CDs.

Pete says: "We are glad to have been approached by AOR Heaven and more than happy to contribute a song for such a worthy cause. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Japan.”

We have been lucky enough to visit Japan - the country and its people left a lasting impression on us. We were deeply upset and shocked when news broke of the terrible devastation caused by the earthquake and subsequent events. When Georg at AOR Heaven asked us to be involved in this CD we sent a track immediately. We know that the great nation of Japan and its people will pull together and overcome this adversity. We as a band hope money raised from this CD goes in some small way to help achieve this goal – FM
