All we want for Christmas is a bigger backdrop!

... And for everyone to be safe and healthy as we come to the end of what has been a very unpredictable 2020.

This time last year we had just finished the Big 3-0 Tour with our good friends Gun and Dan Reed Network. What a wonderful time we all had... Then in March this year we were in Las Vegas filming videos when the severity of the Covid-19 outbreak became evident. 48 hours later we were back home and heading for lockdown instead of out on tour for our first dates of 2020.

Boy have we missed seeing you all! But you certainly let us know you're out there with the amazing reaction to the release of our album Synchronized in May. A massive thank you to everyone who bought the album, to all the DJs who played tracks on their radio shows and to all who spread the word, getting Synchronized into the UK charts and for our first time ever into the album charts in Sweden and Switzerland.

In addition to our newer songs, "Tough It Out" has been one of our most listened-to songs on Spotify, which speaks volumes about the kind of year we are all having. It has been truly humbling to receive messages telling us our music has helped in some way. Speaking of helping people get through 2020... We know many of you are keyworkers and we send you special thanks for all the work you have done and continue to do.

Eventually we will get to play some of the new songs for you live, but for now...

We wish you and your loved ones a Happy Christmas.

FM to play Bully On Rocks in France in October

FM have been announced as co-headliners with Grand Slam for Bully On Rocks in France. The festival takes place at Bully Les Mines on Saturday 24 October 2020.

UPDATE 3 Sept 2020: Sadly, due to the uncertainty surrounding constantly changing Covid-19 quarantine restrictions it is no longer possible for FM to play at Bully On Rocks in October. We are very disappointed not to be seeing our fans in France and will do our very best to make up for this once it is practical to do so. Please stay safe everyone!

FM announce SYNCHRONIZED UK tour for 2021

The mighty FM have announced their UK tour in support of their new album SYNCHRONIZED.

Along with the brand new dates the tour also includes shows in Wakefield, Nuneaton and Swansea which have had to be rescheduled from 2020 due to the current Coronavirus pandemic. Nantwich Jazz Blues and Music Festival has also been rescheduled for April 2021. Tickets already purchased for these shows remain valid.

Special Guest on the tour is hotshot Blues guitarist Laurence Jones (except Nantwich and Nottingham) and Demon (Nantwich only).

Hello everybody.

First of all we hope that you're all keeping safe and well in these difficult days. All of us in FM are currently in isolation and hoping that we can do something to cheer people up.

As you probably know, we have a new album coming out soon and as we can't tour or even get together to perform a live stream we've decided that individually the five of us will all host a Facebook Live Q&A session spread over the next three weeks of lockdown.

First off we have our keyboard wizard Mr Jem Davis who will be answering your questions on our new album or anything FM, keyboard or pepper related this coming Fridat at 8pm UK time.

Statement regarding MelodicRock Fest Australia

It is with regret that FM have to announce that we will not be appearing at MelodicRock Fest Australia, or any of the associated side shows.

This is not a decision that we have taken lightly. Despite all the cancellations, and venue issues, we always held on to the fact that the Promoters had fulfilled most of their contractual obligations towards FM, so we felt confident that we would see everyone in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

However, once the cancellations began, and then the original venue for the festival was cancelled, we felt that we required additional assurances on things like internal travel, accommodation, new line-ups, new venue information, and more.

None of this was forthcoming at any stage, the extremely limited contact we had with the promoters amounted to “It’s all in hand”, "Yes it’s all confirmed.”, etc. Despite requests for more than just verbal assurance, none of this has been forthcoming.

We have left it as late as we possibly can, indeed, right up to the point of check-in for our flight to Melbourne, having already made the first part of the journey.

Unfortunately, we just can’t take the risk, especially with the the lack of communication, and the vagueness of their communication we have received. The cancellation of our sideshows in Sydney and Brisbane were not notified to us by the promoters, we found out from fans. When the promoters finally did comment to us, the response on both occasions was “the venue did it, it wasn’t our decision”.

So, we apologise to everyone who was looking forward to seeing FM play in Australia for the first time. We are as disappointed as you are.

What we do promise; if we can agree a deal with a more reputable promoter to bring FM to Australia, then we WILL be there. And hopefully it will not be too long.
