Merry Christmas from FM

As the sun begins to set on 2015 and the Christmas celebrations go into full swing we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued and unwavering support again this past 12 months. Since our return at Firefest 2007 we never imagined what an amazing journey we were embarking on. This past year has probably been our busiest ever with our Heroes & Villains album release and it being received so well by the press and fans, massive radio support from Planet Rock, BBC Radio 2 plus lots of internet stations. Our touring schedule builds every year, we were especially delighted to have completed a very successful, and our first ever, European headline tour back in November. We spent the summer playing festivals in the UK and Europe and ended our 2015 live commitments by headlining Friday night at Planet Rockstock.

2016 looks to continue the same busy path with more shows on our Heroes & Villains tour in January, for which we will be joined by Special Guests Romeo's Daughter, The King Lot, Bernie Marsden and No Hot Ashes. Rockweekend AOR and Vasby festivals in Sweden have been added in February and July, and there are some very exciting opportunities in the pipeline which will be announced shortly.

We'd like to thank everyone behind the scenes at Strangeworld Management, X Ray Touring, Frontiers, Dark Green Music and Turner Spear for all their hard work and encouragement.

Lastly and most importantly we'd again like to thank you all for giving us the opportunity and the purpose to continue making music together.

We're proud to announce that former Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden will be supporting us on our January tour at Clitheroe, York, Stockton-on-Tees and Oxford. Bernie will be performing a solo acoustic set along with songs from other periods of his career.

Bernie Marsden is one of the UK's most renowned guitarists having worked with or been a member of Paice Ashton Lord, Whitesnake, Elkie Brooks, Robert Plant and many more. As well as being the lead guitarist on the first five Whitesnale albums Bernie is also the co-writer of the worldwide Number One hit "Here I Go Again".

We're very excited to have a legend like Bernie joining us on the road and we're sure that these gigs will prove to be some of our best.

Changes to FM European Tour Nov 2015

Please note the following updates to our touring schedule:

FM and Electric Boys will now be playing at Razzmatazz 2 in Barcelona on 20 November 2015. This replaces the show originally scheduled for Barcelona on 22 November.

Our show with Electric Boys at Z7 in Pratteln will now be one day earlier on 16 November 2015.

A new date has been added in Italy. FM and Electric Boys will now also be playing at Viper Theatre in Florence on 17 November 2015.

The FM and Electric Boys show in Hamburg has been switched to The Rock Cafe - St. Pauli and will now take place one day earlier on 14 November.

FM European Tour extended - more UK dates announced

New UK dates have been added in Edinburgh, Clitheroe, York, Sheffield, Stockton-on-Tees and Oxford in January 2016.  Final date of the tour is a return appearance headlining the Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival at Nantwich Civic Hall, Saturday 26th March 2016.

HEROES AND VILLAINS EPK

HEROES AND VILLAINS will be released via Frontiers Music Srl - 17 April in Europe, 20 April in the UK and 21 April in N. America.

HEROES AND VILLAINS is the first FM album release since signing to Frontiers Music Srl and is due out 17 April in Europe, 20 April in the UK and 21 April in North America.

Looking forward to the release of HEROES AND VILLAINS, Steve Overland says “I think we have managed to capture the best elements of what the band are about in 2015. We had great fun making the record and we are all very proud of the finished result. There are big rock anthems in tracks like Diggin' Up The Dirt and Fire and Rain, and many melodic songs with FM’s trademark hooks and vocal harmonies. There are also not one, but two ballads. One of these (Walking With Angels) is a stripped-down acoustic song, which is something a little different for us.”

Pete Jupp added, “After our shows in November the band was white hot and the creative juices were in full flow, so the writing and recording process for HEROES AND VILLAINS was a prolific and painless affair. We're looking forward to getting back out on tour, straining at the leash.”

Merv Goldsworthy agrees: “All the songs all came together really quickly and the recording of the album went without a hitch. Once we started getting the mixes back of the first few songs we knew we were onto something. HEROES AND VILLAINS is a little rockier and a little more up tempo than ROCKVILLE, and that suits me fine! I'm really looking forward to touring this album this year - bring it on!”

“We're on a roll! Some of the tracks on this album are better than anything that the band has ever produced, and Steve’s voice is as good as ever" says Jim Kirkpatrick.

Jem Davis has given the album a retro sheen by incorporating a Moog, Mellotron and a healthy dose of Hammond organ and he is equally excited: “The band is on fire and the new album sounds HUGE! I think this is going to be an amazing year for FM!”

Dream Theater (UK Exclusive Show) are masters of progressive metal and one of the most acclaimed and successful bands of modern times, with more than 12 million album sold in their career. Their appearance at Ramblin’ Man Fair is a UK exclusive.

Saxon are a truly legendary British heavy metal band – hailed by Metallica as one of their biggest influences. In the early 80s, Saxon made their name with era-defining albums such as Wheels Of Steel and Denim And Leather. Three decades on, they’re still delivering pure heavy metal thunder, with a new studio album expected soon.

“We are excited about playing our only festival show in the UK this year.  It will be the last show of the 35th anniversary tour so make sure you bring your denim and leather.” – Biff Byford, Saxon.

Blue Oyster Cult are among the most enigmatic and influential American rock bands of all time, their mythic status sealed by seminal albums such as Secret Treaties and Agents Of Fortune – the latter featuring the smash hit and classic rock anthem (Don’t Fear) The Reaper. The band’s current line-up is still led by two of the dominant figures in BOC’s history: frontman Eric Bloom and guitar hero Donald ‘Buck Dharma’ Roeser.

FM have been described by Classic Rock magazine as the best melodic rock band ever to come out of the UK. Now, more than 30 years after their classic debut album Indiscreet, the new FM album Heroes & Villains proves they’re still at the very top of their game.

No Hot Ashes are one of the bands that formed part of Belfast's epic 80's rock scene. The beginning of 2014 saw them supporting the likes of Foreigner, FM and UFO. They are now bringing their music to the main stage at Ramblin Man Fair to put on one hell of a show

Ramblin’ Man Fair is set to become the must see event for discerning festival goers. A quality musical line up with a number of UK exclusive performances will be coupled with excellent amenities throughout, including gourmet food, a beer festival, spoken word stage, the best in music cinema, luxury camping and accommodation packages and more. The event will be a unique experience set to become a staple of the UK festival calendar.

The festival will take place in the beautiful Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent – the garden of England.

The park is one of the largest in South East England with more than 450 acres of mature parkland and a 30 acre lake. With multiple travel links via train (Ashford International, Maidstone East and Maidstone West in close proximity) and road (with three park and rides available around Maidstone).
